Buildings as Art and Ads

Today, we’re featuring a large billboard on the side of a 6 story New York City building. Carnival Cruise lines used billboards like these as well as conventional billboards to advertise their shipboard water parks.

The campaign is all about broadcasting the message about having ‘water fun’ while on Carnival’s cruise ships.

The fire escape of the old building got a shiny new coat of blue paint. The set of stairs became an integral part of the advertisement as they would help pedestrians and drivers use their imagination more vividly.

Tall ads like this one, installed onto the sides of buildings stand out and are visible to a much larger area. Typically, they are visually arresting and pull attention in urban areas.
